5/7 - House Dance w/ Orb
This all-levels House Dance class will cover basic House fundamentals to get you experimenting and exploring in this new pocket! Practice new footwork and musicality techniques, learn about the history and culture of House Dance, and have fun creating a smooth, whole-body flow that you can translate over to add a new level of flare and polish to your shuffling.
Prerequisites: This class is suitable for total beginners, no prerequisites are required.

Seattle-based artist Orb (CircleOfFire/SoulShifters) is a true icon in the world of street dance culture. With over 33 years of experience in Hip-Hop (Breaking) and House Dancing, he has left an indelible mark on the global dance scene. A seasoned instructor who can often be found judging and MCing battles in the Seattle area, we are extremely lucky to have him join us as the first House Dance instructor YCSWU has had the pleasure to host.
Dirty street shoes are NOT allowed at this studio! Please clean your sneakers before arriving, or use designated studio sneakers. Lysol wipes will be provided for a quick wipe down before class, but if your shoes are very dirty, you will be asked to remove them before stepping onto the floor.

There are no refunds for missed classes. Once the reservation has been purchased, it is the students responsibility to arrive at class and be on time. Missed time will not be made up in order to keep the rest of the class moving on schedule.
