This is a 2-part series that will cover all the basics you need to get started on your shuffle journey!
The first class will focus on learning all the foundations, technique, and transitions you need to feel confident on the dance floor.
The second class will be a choreography that puts all those moves together and teaches additional creative transitions.
You can purchase the classes separately, or attend both of them for a discount!
The choreography class will be great for those of you who either:
1. Have taken a total beginner “moves and transitions” class and are more intermediate level, or
2. Have some dance/sports experience and understand how to move your body to pick up simple moves after a couple of tries.
Classes take place on:
12/6, 7:30-9pm
12/13, 7:30-9pm
Class will be held at:
Dance Underground
340 15th Ave E,
Seattle, WA 98112
Prerequisites for this class - NONE! Although, doing a running man tutorial on YouTube before class will help you feel more comfortable once you get there.
If you have never shuffled before, this is the series for you. Designed with total beginners in mind, we move really slow and I break everything down in detail for you to make sure you are able to understand the concepts fully. Many people come to this workshop with no prior dance background at all and they are very successful, so if you’re feeling nervous to try.. don’t be :)

Wear breathable clothing like what you would wear to the gym, with supportive sneakers that don’t have a ton of traction on the bottom (the smoother the better).
Bring water! The studio does not have a water fountain and you will want to stay hydrated.
There is ample free parking on the street surrounding the studio.
